Ingredients 200g FreshLife Natural Almonds, roasted 200g castor sugar 2 tablespoons water ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Method 1. Place almonds on tray and roast in moderate oven for 10 min, set aside and allow to cool.
2. Place sugar into heavy based saucepan with water and heat to melt, continue to stir until sugar becomes a golden toffee colour.
3. Add nuts and stir to coat in liquid sugar.
4. Spread onto tray lined with baking paper. Using metal spoon smooth out top of torone and refrigerate for 2 hours or until set solid.
5. Using a sharp knife cut into squares and serve with coffee.
Note: Keeps well stored in air tight container.
